Something from Oswald
by Tammy on 5/9/2007 8:19:30 AM

Today I read something that inspired me ..from Oswald Chambers...
There is a difference between an Idea and a vision. An idea has no moral inspiration, a vision has.   The people who give themselves over to ideas rarely do anything. ...But where ever there is a vision, there is also a life of rectitude because the vision imparts moral incentive.
Ideas may lull to ruin. take stock of yourself spiritually and see whether you have ideas only or if you have vision.
(Utmost for His Highest, Oswald Chambers)  " Where there is no vision the people cast off restraint".  proverbs 29:18

The painting " Branding Day" is showing in the Buffalo Trail Gallery,  8x10

I had never thought about that... but it is true... often a vision seems bigger than ourselves but it is so deeeply placed we continue to pursue it and eventually it will come to pass...find out who you are and then do it on purpose!!!

Many times, visions induce the free flowing thoughts that point us all in the directions we were meant to pursue. Spiritual, moral and physical compasses coming into alignment...

Visions can either consciously or unconsciously lead to further examination of self and/or the surroundings that influence us; some visions surrounded by fog and others clearer than the purest crystal. The freedom that comes from this ebb and flow of thought are part of what makes this mystery ride so fun!!

One thing I know about this artist is that she has very high integrity. I think that is part of what makes her so talented. Sometimes the gifts we have don't "fly" because there is lack of character to match it. That is not the case with Tammy. Not only is she an incredible artist, she is an incredible human being!
